Guest Blog by Ready CHC before our seminar on Re-engineering Services with Public #ReshapeServices Something is going wrong. We pick up the phone or go to a building and expect public services to sort things out for us. Demand kungsholmen on public services for service. They expect to have to decide what (if anything) to offer and how to provide it.
Okay, there is an element of exaggeration here. In Wales, some people and public services are already reshaping their relationship. The truth is that the relationship between all public services kungsholmen and the public need to change for the common good.
We need to take more responsibility for ourselves, our families, our friends, our neighbors and our communities. Public services kungsholmen need to remember that they are servants, not masters. Some things, such as street cleaning, can only be provided combined, kungsholmen and they need to provide kungsholmen these things. They need to support us to live our lives without taking ownership of our lives.
As in the case of the chicken and the egg, both need to be changed, but who needs to change first? We usually hear stories about change in public services, encourage kungsholmen and drive relationship is changing. He started kungsholmen the story Ready wrong way.
Cooperative kungsholmen employees is Ready. Both of us were expected to rely on public services to help us get work because we have a learning disability. We tried it, but it did not work. We had prepared us for our services, but the reality is that we are already ready. There was no point for us to expect public services to change. Instead, we take responsibility for ourselves, and together kungsholmen with others who share our vision, we started our own businesses - Ready.
Could not we do everything ourselves. We needed support from professionals in publicly funded services. We needed them to listen, discover a way to provide what we knew that we needed, and most importantly, believe we can succeed.
We were not able to develop this relationship with the most services and publicly funded. He gave some of them a list of what they could offer - but this did not match what we needed. For others, the cost would be of assistance has meant the loss of control over our lives and address of Ready.
We were able to have this relationship with two of publicly funded services. Without their support, he would have found it difficult to Ready. None of the two try to take the lead. None of them trying to sell their services by providing lots of examples of good practice. He made both listen. He made the two work with us to find solutions. We owe much to us both. Thanks, operative Centre and Enterprise Mentoring.
Our messages to others: Whether it's a chicken or egg, it's a good time to go ahead and do things differently. People exist who make plans and take responsibility for their own future, which is encouraging news for public services. There is encouraging news to members of the public, because public services exist that are willing to use their professional skills, relationships and finances to support you to achieve what may seem impossible. You may need to keep looking, but you'll find.
